The world's natural wonders - the Northern Aurora

Northern Lights, since the formation of the Earth's atmosphere from the date on the fly in the sky. On the Northern Lights it many mysterious stories, many legends of the ancients show that fear of such a light. American Indians believe that as long as the whistle at the Northern Lights can bring spirituality order they do things. Nordic myth mentioned vengeful wizard will kill any person who laughed at the Northern Lights. For those ancestors, the brightness of the aurora is a strong Phytophthora, a harbinger of disaster and death.

Northern Lights can occur throughout the world, in particular, are known as "the dawn of God belt" or "the dawn of God oval ring" areas. In 1881, the Swiss physicist Buddha Leeds (Herman Fritz) in his book, "Aurora," said: "Northern Lights of the most dazzling spectacle is located near 67 degrees north of the sky." Norwegian scientists (Carl Stormer) in 1910 were declared to the world that often appears in the Northern Lights 100-120 km on the night sky.

Aurora arose because the sun's surface explosion released a large number of solar particles. Solar particles will be high speed (thousands of miles per second) through space. If the particle cloud near the Earth's magnetic field, the Earth will seize them and to push the Earth's magnetic field of the Antarctic and the Arctic, so the solar particles will not be consistent with the Earth's atmosphere in the gas molecules (oxygen and nitrogen) in the Northern Lights collision. Such a mechanism to protect the planet from destruction because the solar particles, but also to protect life on Earth.

Earth satellite photos showed that Aurora is continuing, but generally not strong to allow the naked eye can see. If the collision strength enough, in the clear night can see the aurora. Most dazzling Aurora appear in early spring or late fall. Midnight is the best time for viewing the aurora, experts will be selected before and after midnight the two hours viewing the aurora.

Aurora beauty lies in its night sky like fireworks. They look like colorful ribbons floating in the breeze. Usually the beginning of micro-light north, and then red, green, blue or purple as the flare across the sky like Block Arch. Northern Lights because of the Earth's magnetic field and the interaction between solar wind and continuing to move.

Churchill Northern Lights Canada photographic tour guides wearing ‧ Charlie (Richard Day), said: "In 2003 the first observation, the sky put on a few hours of light and colorful dazzling dance, better than I have ever seen of any man-made fireworks show."

The best areas for viewing the Northern Lights for the northern half of Norway (Svalbard is one of the world can be seen only during the day of the Aurora), Sweden, Greenland, Denmark, Alaska, Canada and Russia.
